The Find: As you go out towards Hove along the Western Road, you'll find a beautiful shop selling French homewares called Igigi General Store. Try taking the very elegant staircase up to the immaculately presented cafe upstairs. With wooden floors and a tiny open kitchen, this quaint little cafe is a peaceful retreat from the bustling street below.

Homemade soups, dippy eggs, open sandwiches and a mouth-watering selection of homemade organic cakes is the order of the day here. Coupled with a carefully sourced Monmouth Coffee blend, this cafe makes for a very pleasing pit stop at any time of the day.

Not only do the staff here care about the food they produce and the coffee they serve, but they take their inspiration from Borough Market in London, which is certainly a positive sign!

Due to it's size, seating is limited and conversations can be overheard. However, if your happy to share a table with a stranger and interact with the staff as they make your lunch in front of you then this place is for you.

You can certainly feel comfortable sitting on your own reading a magazine... whilst indulging in the treats on offer in this delightful little haven...

The coffee is nice, and above average, but a bit of work (and training) would need to be done in order to bring it up a notch or two to rival the real coffee scene in Brighton....
