THE ROASTERY

The Find: Now here's a coffee-shop worth getting out of bed for. On the main road up from Clapham Junction Station and past the usual string of coffee chains, is Clapham's artisan coffee mecca .... The Roastery.

The cafe itself is so welcoming you'll feel like you've been before. Retro oranges and browns fill the room - even the pepper mills are colour coded. They have plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside for those sunny mornings. They have a wide selection of yummyness on offer - from anzac biscuits to brownies, super fresh salads to handmade bagels. They also serve brunch at weekends....

The chairs are cool, so is the stack of magazines to help yourself to. The staff are laid back but attentive.... just the way we like it.

One of the most endearing features of this place is that the beans are roasted small batches on the premisis. This not only means you get the smell of freshly roasted coffee wafting down the street but also that you get the freshest beans in every cup you order.

The Roastery uses specialty beans sourced from Bullet Coffee (http://www.thecafehunter.co.uk/2009/03/bullet-coffee.html). Look out for the small black board by the Marzocco telling you which coffee you'll be drinking on your visit. As standard, double shots are served in each drink, but do tell them if you have your coffee differently, they will be happy to adapt. On the side of your drink you'll be pleased to see a chocolate marshmallow.... a unique, cute and yummy touch! The coffee in here is well-made every time.

Buy a coffee here then buy a bag of  beans to take home.

What a treat!
