KILIMANJARO COFFEE

The Find: This coffee institution stands proud on the bustling Nicholson street in Edinburgh’s Southside and is firmly on Edinburgh’s coffee map.
With the same owner as Edinburgh’s much loved Wellington Coffee (http://www.thecafehunter.co.uk/2009/04/wellington-coffee.html) and Press Coffee round the corner it isn’t surprising that Kilimanjaro Coffee is paving the way for coffee lovers all over Edinburgh.

Kilimanjaro CoffeeThey use Square Mile Beans, extracted on a Synesso machine. The constant flow of fans through its doors show just how good the coffee in this place is.

They have a straightforward menu – a few sandwiches and paninis, a selection of soups and not forgetting the Kili-breakfast for £5.80 which gets you the works ... haggis and all.

The decor is unfussy and practical – furnished with plain and simple wooden chairs, photos of Africa on the walls and a big window for people watching. It's not a place you'll remember for the interiors. A single red sofa is the pick of the seats – grab it if you can.

You’ll be glad to know it’s open most of the week .... including early evenings and Sundays.
