Sensory Lab LondonThe Find: With the original branch of Workshop Coffee rockin' over in Clerkenwell, the Melbourne folks behind it have somehow found time to open a new coffee concept over in W1.

Workshop Coffee Marylebone, opened in August 2011, was designed to "create a dialogue baristas and customers". Hence, coming here for a coffee feels slightly educational - but that's not a bad thing. The more purveyors of world class coffee in the UK the better I say.

Along the counter you'll find two sections - namely the espresso-based drinks station (extracted with the super-sleek Synesso) and the very cool brew station featuring the syphon, v60 and aeropress.

If you have time, pull up a stool and sit at the "brew bar" and check out the skills of the baristas behind it.

Featured on the ever-changing brew bar menu are the usual A-listers: Has Bean, Square Mile, St-Ali - never a disappointment.

Don't overlook the teas either - sourced from the lovely Waterloo Tea.

Don't come here expecting the same as the Clerkenwell branch - it's far smaller, more exclusive and with far less 'urban' thrown in. But it's coffee boutique at it's best - simple, minimalist and no-frills (except for the very-frilly equipment of course)

Don't be daunted, go inside and let the baristas do all the talking. Get immersed in whats on offer and learn from those who know.... this is coffee.

* NEW* Look out for Sunday workshops on brewing starting soon....
